About CAN - New Jersey Nursing School
Overview
The Center is a private postsecondary institution dedicated to providing quality education designed to prepare students for specific professional fields. The Center opened its first campus in Hackensack, New Jersey in 2003. The Center was founded to address the growing shortage in qualified healthcare professionals. The Center has three campuses. The main campus is located in Hackensack, New Jersey. Branch campuses are located in Brandon, Florida and Ewing, New Jersey.
The Center strives in all its activities to provide an atmosphere which fosters professional and personal development, academic achievement and social interaction. Our curriculum prepares students for employment within their chosen disciplines by developing new and enhanced skills, expanding their knowledge base and awakening new intellectual interest.

Our mission is to bridge the labor gap occurring in demand occupations and to train competent professionals who are well prepared to enter the job market.
Ewing Campus
The Ewing Campus is located at 1001 Spruce Street, Ewing, New Jersey. The Ewing campus consists of approximately 8,000 square feet with the following accommodations:
• Reception area
• Administrative offices
• Six classrooms, seating from 10 to 40 students
• Library/Learning Resource Center
• Nursing practice skills laboratories
• Student lounge area with access to vending machines
Educational programs offered at the Ewing campus include the Practical Nursing Program. The classrooms are equipped with a variety of audiovisual equipment, including projectors, DVDs/VCRs, computers and televisions. The Ewing campus also contains a Library/Learning Resource Center that contains:
• Computers and a variety of computer-assisted learning programs
• TVs and a variety of educational self-learning video modules
• Texts and periodicals for student and faculty resource material
• High speed internet access
In addition, the Ewing campus maintains highly specialized medical equipment to allow simulated clinical practice. This equipment includes models and mannequins, adjustable hospital beds; bedside stands; wheelchairs; medicine carts, and IV equipment.
The administrative hours of operation are: Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, exclusive of major holidays (New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day).
